Airline travel with pet cat? Needs to be free. Cat is 18lbs?

I have extensive work travel coming up and dont want to leave my travel kitty home. What are my options for bringing him with me. Work will not be paying extra for him. Logan is 18lbs. What airlines have the cheapest & safest service? I dont want to put him in the cargo hold.

The cargo hold am unaware of any airline that lets animals are required to travel in the expert as transporting live animals are required to call in crates in crates in crates in the expert as transporting.
