Typically mid-week (tuesday - thursday) are cheaper days to travel. However, sometimes you can find cheaper airfare on Monday, but this is mostly with international flights.

Tuesday to Thursday are usually the cheapest. Friday to Sunday are the most expensive days. Flying on most holidays would be more expensive.
Christmas day is cheap because no one wants to fly on that day.
