IBASI Healing Ministries asked: I have extensive work travel coming up and dont want to leave my travel kitty home. What are my options for bringing him with me. Work will not be paying extra for him. Logan is 18lbs. What airlines have the cheapest & safest service? I dont want to put him in the cargo hold.
No need to be insulting, you WILL be reported. FYI - Logan is part Maine Coon. Male Coons are usually around 25lbs.
This is for USA DOMESTIC only flights. Can anyone please recommend SPECIFIC airlines with up to date knowledge?

I know the airlines claim the reason you cannot operate cell phones and “electronic devices” while the plane is flying bc they supposedly could interfere with the navigational systems. However, many in the telecommunications industry (and others) dispute this as an excuse to force you to use the airline’s own (obviuosly wireless) seat-back phones at upwards of $2.00 a minute. They’ve been talking about letting ppl use their cell phones in flight already, there is such a demand (and many of us dread the idea of listening to obnoxiuos chatter for 3 hours straight and would just as soon prefer they DONT allow it). Ok so…..right now, if you whipped out your cell phone and made a call during flight, someone is going to come drag you out of your seat and throw you off the plane at the next stop. BUT…….what if you have a wireless broadband card in your laptop…..how would they know (or notice) if you were quietly surfing the internet at 35,000 feet?
Do you think you could get busted?

LDB_Career asked: I just bought a 29″ Dockers rolling/spinning suitcase, and I like it a lot. However, it is large. It measures 20″ wide x 29″ tall x 11″ thick, plus expands another 2″ thick. The measurements total 60″ if I don’t use the expansion capability. Most airlines seem to have a 62″ limit on size and 44 pounds - after which they will charge you.
I haven’t traveled much (but I plan to from now on) and I’m going to China in October. I am worried that this suitcase is too big and I will get charged extra. Air China’s limits are 62″ and 44 pounds.
I thought about loading it up and weighing it (will do tomorrow), but I thought I’d ask people if they own a suitcase of this size and if they have or have not had problems with checking it in on various airlines.
I guess I could return it and buy the next smaller size, but my trip is for 12 days so I feel like I need a larger bag.
Any and all advice is appreciated!
