I am hoping to do a volunteer bounch from an airline and get a free voucher for future travel in exchange for waiting around at the airport. When is the most congested crazy time to travel when the airlines are overbooked the most.

I hear it was the day before Thanksgiving and the 1 oe 2 days before xmas eve, but that is a guess.

Any ideas?

Thanx in advnce

Should I worry about my suitcase being too big for International airline travel?

I just bought a 29″ Dockers rolling/spinning suitcase, and I like it a lot. However, it is large. It measures 20″ wide x 29″ tall x 11″ thick, plus expands another 2″ thick. The measurements total 60″ if I don’t use the expansion capability. Most airlines seem to have a 62″ limit on size and 44 pounds - after which they will charge you.

I haven’t traveled much (but I plan to from now on) and I’m going to China in October. I am worried that this suitcase is too big and I will get charged extra. Air China’s limits are 62″ and 44 pounds.

I thought about loading it up and weighing it (will do tomorrow), but I thought I’d ask people if they own a suitcase of this size and if they have or have not had problems with checking it in on various airlines.

I guess I could return it and buy the next smaller size, but my trip is for 12 days so I feel like I need a larger bag.

Any and all advice is appreciated!
