Finally, the big boys all over the world have so much capital tied up in aviation that they will find ways to improve their performance and keep on going and surviving, rather than close shop and go home (which is neither practical nor foreseeable).
In the end, I would say that our children and grand children will still enjoy aviation as it is today, with perhaps their grand grand children getting a glimpse of other things to come!!!!
